PLEASE PLAN TO WILL JOIN US FOR THE FESTIVITIES!

Saturday, November 16, 2024, 1-3 pm

2730 East 31st Street, Minneapolis

The European settlers depended Indigenous peoples who taught them to plant and harvest corn, beans, and squash. We ask alumni to contribute traditional fare (turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed and sweet potatoes, corn, cranberries, and pumpkin pie). We invite grantees to add to the festivities by bringing additional dishes familiar at their home country (main courses, salads, vegetables, desserts) to help us create an international feast.

In addition to on street parking there is a lot facing Lake Street (2813 East Lake Street, located between 28th and 29th Avenues). Walk through a small rain garden to the lower entrance of the church, on the east side of the building. The Blue Line Metro is just four blocks away on Lake Street, and there is a bus stop near the Lake Street Library. For more details on transportation, check https://htlcmpls.org/what-to-expect/#find-us-parking .  Our event will be in the lower-level auditorium.

Please plan to join us, with family and partners, on Saturday afternoon for food and great company. Sharing food and stories about harvest ceremonies will complement the international feast as we engage in the opportunity Fulbright has created for international exchange. When you RSVP you will be asked what you might bring to share such as an entree, side dish, salad, or dessert. Please RSVP by November 8th  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ESXbaMAxFgZL2Zs71pAfJ18NAtGHkaW4fPPEz7ZfHKQ/edit
